This past summer we got the chance to visit the Papal Palace at Castelgandolfo, and here we are on the Pope's roof overlooking Lake Albano and Monte Cavo. The bearded fellow on the left is Brother Guy Consolmagno, a research scientist for the Vatican Observatory and Graduate of MIT and ASU. After a discussion of the relationship between science and religion, a tour of the two telescopes mounted on the palace, and a look at the Rare Books Library, we headed off to dinner at Sor Capanna.
